Who I am
Hi, I am Mark Nijland, a collector and hybridizer of satsuki azaleas in the Netherlands.

Purpose of the site
I made this site to provide a catalog of evergreen azalea cultivars. Including features like generating parentage trees and find sibling varieties.
Additionally, some unique features of this site is that for Japanese cultivars, it includes the Kanji. Currently, the database contains just over 1500 unique cultivars.
I hope to add more features regarding flower shape and flower patterns in the future.
I do not sell anything through this site.
The images on this site
A photograph of the variety on the variety profile is key to the usefulness of this site. Lucky, I found many other azalea enthusiasts willing to kindly give me permission to use their images.
However, I may accidentally have added some images or photos without permission or credits. If you find your photo being used on my site, please do not hestitate to contact me.
Additionally, if you have images of cultivars that you think will improve the site, and you are generous to share these with me, please let me know.
