‘Kaho’ is a satsuki variety with large rounded leaves and flowers, known to be suitable for bonsai because it is very vigorous plant habit. This allows for quicker results when field growing trunks, in contrast to slow-growing ‘Kozan’-type varieties. This makes ‘Kaho’ and similar cultivars more suitable to beginners, as it is a more forgiving and offer up more opportunities to learn through pruning.
