Azalea Président Claeys comes from the seed of Az. indica variegata. It is literally intended to replace it in collections. Our new variety is much more robust, forming a perfect bush and budding beautifully. Its flowers are not dull like those of Az. variegata. Its edges are snow-white and better defined; its base is a clear salmon-pink; its blotch is more pronounced; in a word, it is a real acquisition full of merit.
