The wold famous ‘Vervaeneanum’ wins the highest awards in every exhibition where it is displayed and has almost let to the disappearance of all other other salmon-coloured varieties with white margins.
Note that sometimes 'Comte Charles de Kerchove de Denterghem' rather than 'Versicolor' is given as a parent. However, 'Comte Charles de Kerchove de Denterghem' is also listed as a sport of 'Versicolor', explaining the confusion. The alternative parentage with 'Comte Charles de Kerchove de Denterghem' also reserves the pollen parent and seed parent, but 'Königin der Weissen' is given for both parentages.
Additionally, ‘Vervaeneanum’ is either a sport of ‘Pharailde Mathilde’, or both are sports of the same unnamed seedling with the reported parentage.
